About Me

I’m a California lawyer who represents lawyers. Since 2005, I’ve been defending lawyers (including at trial) before and after they get sued. I also defend lawyers before the California State Bar Court. I am a certified specialist in Legal Malpractice Law by the State Bar of California (110+ such specialists to date). I write and speak on legal ethics. I have been practicing law since 2001 and started my legal career with the California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General. In 2005 I went into private practice and am now a  shareholder with Cardinale Fayard in Sacramento. I have represented attorneys throughout California. I am a past President of the Placer County Bar Association. I am also co-chair of Placer County’s Property Tax Assessment Appeals Board (appointed by the Board of Supervisors). I have a B.S. from Pacific Union College (Angwin, CA), an M.A. in political science from the University of Utah, and a J.D. from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (Sacramento).
